4 Fall-Themed Things to Do in St. Augustine

Pumpkin Patches

There are several great pumpkin patches here in Northeast Florida within a short driving distance from St. Augustine. The First United Methodist Church, affectionately called the “Pumpkin Church,” is a favorite among guests and locals for their huge, annual pumpkin patch. Of course, if you’re exploring pumpkin patches in St. Augustine and want to hit as many as possible, you should also consider visiting the Sykes Family Farms (located in St. Johns County), the Wesley Wells Farms (located in St. Johns County), and the Jacksonville Pumpkin Patch (located in Jacksonville).

Ghost Tours

We’ve discussed ghost tours and haunted places in St. Augustine before, but we would be remiss to not mention them here. St. Augustine is full of ancient architecture, gorgeous culture, and tons of history. And when you have a litany of historical battles, ancient forts, remnants of 17th and 18th-century explorers, timeless buildings, and an Old Jail – you also get the perfect mix for ghosts and Halloween-themed spookiness.

When you visit St. Augustine this fall, don’t forget to go on some of our world-famous ghost tours. For anyone interested in paranormal fun, you should definitely check out St. Augustine’s very own Ancient City Tours, Ripley’s Haunted Castle Tour, and the Ghost & Gravestones Tour.

Sykes Family Farms Crop Maze

Open from October 2nd to October 30th, 2021, the Sykes Family Farms Crop Maze is one of the most exciting fall activities you can do in St. Augustine. With over 50 years of growing experience and more than a decade of what they’ve coined “Agritainment,” this is a must-do activity this fall. They offer a 9-acre, intricately designed corn maze, a hayride, a play area, cow milking, animals, and more! It’s good-natured, fall-themed fun for the entire family!

Fall Members Art Show

Hosted by the St. Augustine Art Association, the Fall Members Art Show is a month-long art exhibit (from October 1st to October 31st), showcasing the work of St. Augustine’s most talented local artists. Their members work with various mediums, including canvas, woodworking, lighting, glass, and others. An independent jury evaluates the art and awards monetary prizes, including the highly sought-after and time-honored Jean Wagner Troemel Best of Show award.

If you’re looking for fall activities in St. Augustine, the Fall Members Art Show is definitely something you don’t want to miss. It opens during the First Friday Art Walk (October 1st, 2021) and runs through Halloween. The exhibit is located at 22 Marine St., downtown St. Augustine, FL 32084.
